Considering the academic calendar and notification for the 2026 academic session, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Education Department releases an initial schedule of summer vacations 2026 which covers public as well as private institutions:
According to the official notification:
- Primary schools in Summer Zone (Plains): Holidays will start from June 1 2026 and run until August 31, 2026. Date of reopening schools 1st September 2026
- Middle, High, and Higher Secondary Schools in Summer Zone: These institutions will have holidays from June 15, 2026 to August 31, 2026.
- All Schools in Winter Zone (Hilly Areas): It will be a shorter one-month hiatus from July 1, 2026, to July 31, 2026.
