Tajveedi Qaida School Based Assessment 2026 Grade 1 – PDF Download

The School Based Assessment (SBA) 2026 program for Grade 1 is a significant initiative designed to enhance the learning experience of students in Punjab. This assessment, conducted by the Punjab Education Curriculum Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA), assesses a student with respect to their basic learning of the Tajveedi Qaida and makharij to ensure they are able to pronounce Quranic letters accurately.

SBA 2026 Grade 1 Exam Schedule

The Final term examinations for the 2025-26 session will be held in March 2026. According to the new date sheet, Tajveedi Qaida paper is one of the first in which students are tested.

Note: For Grade 1, the assessment is usually oral assessment as more applicable on students’ developmental ability and in line with their recognition of letters & application of simple Tajweed rules.

Assessment Pattern & Syllabus

Tajveedi Qaida Grade 1 syllabus is developed by Punjab Curriculum & Textbook Board (PCTB). The SBA centers around a few key areas:

Recognition of Arabic Alphabets: Identifying letters in both individual and joined forms.

Makharij (Phonics): Correct pronunciation of letters from exact specific point where it originates in throat and mouth.

Harakat (Diacritics): Features of Zabar, Zair and Paish

Basic Tajweed Rules: Begining with Tajweed CommandsQA: Madd and other basic sounds

Passing the assessment is a prerequisite for promotion to Grade 2. It is oral at this grade level, and teachers use standardized rubrics to assess students on their fluency and accuracy.
